About the coach:

Victoria Kucher is a Toronto based Actor, Writer, Comedian, and Coach.

She trained at York University, The Lee Strasberg Institute of Theatre & Film, and Second City Toronto.
She has performed in Chicago Improv Festival, Pittsburgh Improv Festival, Vancouver Improv Festival (VIIF), Del Close Marathon, Montreal Improv Festival (Mprov), Big City Improv Festival, She Dot Comedy Festival, Bad Dog's Blockbuster Week, Close Quarters (Bad Dog Theatre) AND MORE. 

Victoria has been seen performing sketch (some of which she wrote, some of which she just finds funny) around Toronto in 24 Hour Sketch Festival (Social Capital Theatre), Sketch in 60 (Bad Dog Theatre), and Friday Night Sketch & Conservatory (Second City). 

 She also directs comedic sketch on and off camera; collaborating with Toronto comedy troupes and coaching individual comics. She is a comedic writer for stage and screen, and an Improviser, regularly performing around the city. She has coached for The Second City and for RAW (Rooney Actors' Workshop). 

Victoria was also seen in the feature films Space & Time (Amazon Prime), Brennan & Victoria Make Rent (Fearless) and in episodes of Schitt's Creek and Mary Kills People.

Improv Your Acting Has 3 Levels

LEVEL 1
Improv For Actors - Fundamentals Intro:

Over the 4 Weeks we will cover the fundamentals of comedic improv and improv for acting. Discover your voice in characters, deep listening, and translating action into storytelling. 

Day 1 - Yes And, listening, and jumping-in

Day 2 - Supporting, Character and Specifics

Day 3 - Action Vs. Words

Day 4 - Bringing it together

LEVEL 2
Improv for Actors - Heightening:

April 22 - 4 Weeks - 2 hours

Over the 4 weeks we will focus on Action, Stakes, and Circumstances. How can your environment inform your character, choices, and actions?

Day 1 - Recapping Level 1, Offers & Accepting
Day 2- Offers & Initiations
Day 3- Character Dynamics
Day 4 - Grounding and Heightening

 

LEVEL 3
Improv for Actors - Troupe Mind:

(TBA) - 6 Weeks - 2 hours

Over the 6 weeks we will work on solidifying our group mind and creative ensemble development. Using your acting skills we will work on character driven scenes, scene framework and editing. 

Our goal is to work toward creating an improv troupe that will perform a virtual show at the end of these 6 weeks and that will continue to work together beyond this course.
